ANALISIS NARATIF PESAN NASIONALISME FILM TANAH SURGA KATANYA

The aim of this research is to analyze the value of love for one's country in the film Tanah Surga Katanya. This film shows the lives of border residents who are starting to lose their identity as Indonesian citizens, but the main character still shows his efforts to maintain his love for Indonesia. This is the reason why researchers are interested in analyzing more deeply the value of love for one's country in the film. The research method used by researchers is qualitative through Tzvetan Todorov's narrative analysis model. The results of the research, based on Tzvetan Todorov's narrative analysis model, found that the film Tanah Surga Katanya has 3 plots, namely the initial plot, the middle plot and the final plot. The value of love for one's country contained in this film is in the form of excessive love for one's country and tends towards chauvinism. This form of chauvinism depicts anti-other countries and elevates the position of one's country above other countries.
